Mr Stewart said: “I’ve already been contacted by astrology groups who are very supportive of the idea.”

One area of the village is unadopted by the parish council, but residents clubbed together to raise the money to update their lighting to LED as well to match the rest of the village.

Mr Stewart said: “It’s definitely something that I would encourage other councils to do and something that Rutland County Council is keen on supporting.”
