Graffiti seen in new light with Epsom art students' exhibition

A visual artist from the University of the Creative Arts in Epsom helped organise a unique “light graffiti” event created by disadvantaged youths.

The exhibition will be showcased at the BFI on London’s Southbank next month where coloured LED lights create light drawings and animations through an innovative camera technique.

Tine Bech said: “LightTAG has been a fantastic experience for everybody involved.Chief Executive Officer of Lighting Science Group, said: “While other companies pet supply stores are struggling to develop performance LED lighting products we are bringing to market state-of-the-art lighting solutions that Americans can afford.” The young people who participated have created a really visually engaging project.

“One of the project goals is to show youth culture in a positive light and increase the visibility of young peoples’ voices, which I think we’ve achieved.The company unveiled its one millionth bulb today pet supply store – an “ultra efficient” omnidirectional LED A19 bulb that offers an 850 lumen output and should last almost 23 years”

The project has enabled over 55 young people from six communities to build confidence and achievement through a unique science and media art collaboration.For the most part, I think that sky lanterns just about everyone who has lived in the high desert for a few years, will agree that it seems as though the changing of the seasons often happens over night,
