Shareholders approved the name change during the company's 2010 Annual Meeting. The CUI Global name better reflects the company's strategic direction in advanced electronics and as a marketer and manufacturer of electro-mechanical components for OEM manufacturers through its wholly owned subsidiary, CUI Inc.
In conjunction with this name change and the rebranding effort, CUI Global will initiate its new website at www.cuiglobal.com on Tuesday, January 4, 2011, as well.The company unveiled its one millionth bulb today led spotlight – an “ultra efficient” omnidirectional LED A19 bulb that offers an 850 lumen output and should last almost 23 yearsMany areas of the world are simply off the grid. To bring them electricity, solar is far cheaper led strip than connecting them to the grid or building power plants. And in some places, villagers are beginning to put up solar, home by home, instead of waiting for the government to build larger solar or wind power farms.
